Marianne Goebl Nuovo amministratore delegato di Artek

Marianne Goebl sarà, a partire dal 1° luglio 2014, il nuovo amministratore delegato di Artek, la rinomata azienda finlandese fondata nell’anno 1935 dai celebri designer Alvar e Aino Aalto, Maire Gullichsen e Nils-Gustav Hahl.
Goebl prenderà il posto di Mirkku Kullberg, Amministratore Delegato in carica dall'anno 2005 che continuerà la sua attività come Direttore Generale della sezione Vitra Home per Artek all’interno del Vitra Group.

Marianne Goebl has been appointed Artek’s new Managing Director starting the 1st of July 2014. Artek is renowned as one of the most innovative contributors to modern design. Artek has been a pioneer of ethical design. The cornerstones of the company strategy are ethics, aesthetics and ecology, which translates into high quality, timeless icons and tomorrow’s archetypes in humane design.



“I am honoured and excited to join Artek, one of the most relevant and innovative contributors to modern design, at this decisive stage,” says Marianne Goebl. “I look forward to further developing this unique project on an international level, building upon its extraordinary design legacy with due respect to Artek’s status as a Finnish national treasure.”


Marianne Goebl brings to her position more than a decade of experience at the intersection of design culture and commerce, most recently as Director of the fairs Design Miami/ and Design Miami/ Basel, where she served from 2011 to 2014.



From 2001 to 2011, she worked at Vitra, where she significantly contributed to new initiatives such as the Vitra Home Collection, the Vitra Edition and the VitraHaus, collaborating with leading designers and architects, including Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, Konstantin Grcic, Zaha Hadid, Herzog & de Meuron, Hella Jongerius, and Jasper Morrison, among others.
