Inizia oggi, 9 ottobre 2013, la più prestigiosa fiera europea del libro, la Fiera del Libro di Francoforte (Buchmesse).
Dal 1976, una parte rilevante della fiera è incentrata e riservata al "Guest of Honour", l'ospite d'onore. E nel 2014 sarà proprio la Finlandia a svolgere questo ruolo!
E' anche e soprattutto per questo motivo che la Finlandia è molto presente anche nell'edizione 2013 appena inaugurata.
Sono tre gli appuntamenti di quest'anno riservati all'ospite d'onore del 2014:
Il primo si sta svolgendo proprio ora, mentre scrivo: oggi, 9 ottobre dalle 8,15 alle 9,15 "Business Breakfas Finland", un incontro con Touko Siltala e Salla Vainio:
"Finland will be Guest of Honour at the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2014. Literature and the mediation of foreign rights sales are at the heart of the project. The main objective of the Business Breakfasts is to put you in touch with new contacts. Our experts will provide a brief introduction to their topics. Afterwards they will answer questions and address concerns from the audience".
Anche il secondo appuntamento con la Finlandia è oggi, 9 ottobre, alle 16,30:
"Learning comes from Finland. Pre-2014-party: Finland, the Guest of Honour 2014 in Frankfurt invites all educational publishers to join the Pre-2014-Learning comes from Finland -party.Together with EEPG ((European Educational Publishers Group) and BESA awards".
Il terzo appuntamento è per domani 10 ottobre, alle 10,30: la "Preview Press Conference of the Guest of Honour 2014 Finland" con la co-organizzazione della FILI (Finnish Literature Exchange):
"Speakers: Juergen Boos (Director of the Frankfurt Book Fair), Paavo Arhinmäki (Minister of Culture and Sport, Finland), Iris Schwanck ( Director des Organizing Committee Guest of Honour Finland 2014).
E questo è solo l'inizio: parleremo ancora molte e molte volte su queste pagine del ruolo che la Finlandia svolgerà alla Fiera di Francoforte 2014.
